Joseph Obuchowski

Chicopee – Joseph Obuchowski, 66, of Chicopee, passed away Thursday October 10, 2024 at Chicopee Rehabilitation. Joseph was born in Holyoke on September 26, 1958, to Anthony and Gertrude (Murphy) Obuchowski. Joe was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and was employed by United Paper Box Company for many years. Most recently, he worked with JNS Commissary as a Baker.
Joe is remembered as being a wonderful Baker. He enjoyed making many birthday cakes and treats over the years, even a wedding cake. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose E. (Mainville) Obuchowski in 2018 and by his son-in-law, David Lambert in 2018.
He is survived by his children, Darlene Collette and her husband Edward Campbell of Chicopee and Dennis Deforge and his wife Arlene of Mass; sister-in-law, Lucy Rubino and by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
All are invited to visitation on Saturday October 19, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Burnelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA followed by a 12:00 noon service in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at a late date in Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke.
