Chicopee- Joan (Dibala) Csizmazia, 80, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Joan was born in New York, NY on April 13, 1939 a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Bambusch) Dibala. Joan worked as a bookkeeper for several years. She enjoyed family gatherings, watching classic movies, and all Holidays. Joan will be remembered as a kind and confident woman who was always there to listen and put others before herself. She was predeceased by her husband, Imre Csizmazia; siblings, Anna, Paul, Joseph, Mary, Helen, William and Rudy, and a grandson, Joshua Robarge.
She will dearly missed by her dear nephew, John Zechowski; her daughters, Carolyn Gould and Joan Downes and her husband Larry; her grandchildren, Lauren Gould, Jason Gould, Andrew Gould, Matthew Gould, Michael Laliberte, Megan Couri and her husband Al, Patrick Downes, and Clare Downes and a great granddaughter Carly Rose Gould.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 5PM-8PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, Chicopee. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 starting at 8:30AM at the Brunelle Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10AM at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
