Feeding Hills – Jimmy Dean, 69, of Feeding Hills, passed away peacefully at home on Friday November 25, 2022, with his loving family at his side. Born in Springfield to Wallace R. and Edna M. (Cooper) Dean, he was a lifelong area resident. Jimmy was employed as a Truck Driver for many years, most recently for JB Hunt in Windsor Locks and as an Auto Mechanic and transmission specialist at Aamco.
Jimmy lived in East Longmeadow for many years, spending the last sixteen years in Feeding Hills. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and spent several years as a go-cart and racecar driver at the former Riverside Park in Agawam. Jimmy was also the biggest fan at his granddaughter’s soccer games. He was a firearms collector and hobbyist.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lisa (LaPlante) Dean of Feeding Hills; his three children, Carla M. Paquette and her husband Rick of Springfield, Jimmy W. Dean and his wife Jade of Deland, FL and Melissa C. Dean of Springfield; three siblings, Bonnie J. Visconti of Plymouth, MA, Harold R. Dean and his wife Nancy of Feeding Hills and Lori M. Rockwell of Agawam; and by two grandchildren, Caitline Paquette and Lauren Paquette and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday December 3rd from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Jimmy’s memory to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
