JEREMIAH L. RUELL, JR1923 - 2013CHICOPEE - Jeremiah (Jerry) L. Ruell, 89, a lifelong Chicopee Resident was welcomed into the gates of Heaven, on Saturday June 1st, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center, with his beloved family by his side. Jerry was a proud veteran of the US Army who served in WWII. Many fond memories are held within his stories of his service and travels. He was also an accomplished carpenter for over 60 years. Jerry belonged to the K of C council 1721, for many years, where he held the position of the �Grand Knight�, as well as, many other board positions. He will be dearly missed as an amazing and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Jerry leaves behind his wife, of 47 yrs, Jeanne (LaFrance) Ruell, His children Thomas and his wife Bernadine Ruell, Ronald Ruell, Jeremiah Marc and his wife Donna Ruell, Lynn and her husband Joseph Paul, Christine and her husband Stephen Mihalek, James and his wife Cheryl Ruell, and Lori Ruell. He also leaves his loved grandchildren Nathan, Jeremiah and Andrew Ruell, Michelle, Ronald, and Veronica Ruell, Jeanne (Ruell)Dulong, Theresa, Jonathan, and Tricia Ruell, , Renee Paul, Reid and Evan Mihalek, Nicholas and Rachel Ruell, Emily and Alex Wheatley and Brady Obuchowski, and his 15 great grandchildren. The Ruell family would also like to thank Dr. Ford and the nursing staff at Baystate for all their compassion and support through Jerry�s final journey. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11:30AM at Calvary Cemetery, Northampton St., Holyoke.
