CHICOPEE- Jeannine (Pare) Paradis, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her home with her devoted family by her side. She was born in Granby, PDQ, Canada on August 29, 1929 a daughter of the late Arthur and Rosa (Potvin) Pare and came to the United States as a young woman in her twenties. She was a longtime housekeeper for the Sisters of Providence and most recently worked at Spruce Manor Nursing Home in Springfield where she dedicated over 30years of service retiring in 2000. Jeannine was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert E. Paradis in November of 2011. She was a faithful and longtime member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Springfield. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Gingras and her husband Joseph of Chicopee; Jean Ewens of VT; two sons, Albert Paradis of VT; Allen Paradis of UT; a brother, Rejean Pare of Canada; her grandchildren, Gary and Linda Ewens of VT; Jessica and Ryan Sutherland, Melissa and Jon Anderson all of Chicopee. She leaves her 7 great grandchildren; Katrina, Keegan, Mariah, Alec, Trey, Brennan and Conor. Jeannine also leaves her dear friends Lorraine Manley and Marriot Pelletier as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins. She now joins her parents as well as her brothers and sisters who predeceased her: Leo and Jil Pare, Rita Dupuis and Jeannette Pare.
