CHICOPEE - Jean Marie (Perreault) Briere, 61, passed away on March 12, 2015 at the Hospice of the Fisher Home, Amherst, MA. Jean was born in Holyoke on August 8, 1953 the daughter of Eleanor (Hopfe) Perreault and the late Raymond Perreault. She was a 1972 graduate of South Hadley High School. Jean worked for a number of years in the mail room at Spalding and recently for the Chicopee School System. Jean loved animals and often kept several cats and dogs as pets. Jean married Dennis “Benny” Briere in 1994. They were married for 19 years until Benny passed away in September of 2013. She was a loving mother to her daughter Jenna Briere of Chicopee. Jean is survived by her brother Stephen Perreault and his wife Nancy of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; her sister in-law , Karen Sullivan of Holyoke; three nieces, Elizabeth Perreault of Atlanta, GA; Julie Kleszczynski of Holyoke; Jennifer Nelson of Springfield; a nephew, Christopher Perreault of Peachtree Corners, GA ; an uncle, Raymond Hopfe and his wife Joan, and several extended family members and dear friends. Funeral arrangements will be privately held at a later date.
