CHICOPEE – Janice J. (Cormier) Trudell, 74, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Chicopee on January 2, 1936 to the late William and Anna (Tremblay) Cormier. Janice graduated from both Holyoke High School in 1953 and Holyoke Trade School in 1972 where she received her Licensed Practical Nurse Degree. She worked for many years at Holyoke Hospital and many different local nursing homes, retiring in 2001. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice D. Trudell, Sr. in 1980. Janice is survived by her son, Maurice D. Trudell, Jr. of Nashua, N.H.; her daughter, M. Diane Sanford and her husband Charles of Port Orange, Fl; her grandson, Brian J. Ribeiro and his children, Camille and Lilliana of WA; her granddaughter, Jennifer Slosek and her children, Thomas J. Slosek and Jon Turnbull of Wilbraham, MA; her sisters, Barbara Crosson and her husband Richard and Nancy Golden and her husband Jack both of Holyoke, Sandra Shafer and her husband Robert of Springfield, JoAnn Hathaway and her husband Donald of Chicopee; her brother, Neil Cormier and his wife Gloria of Agawam and her daughter-in-law, Donna Trudell of CT. Beside her parents and her husband, Janice was also predeceased by her son, M. Daniel Trudell in 2002. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. There are no calling hours.
