Janice May Despault

CHICOPEE- Janice (Gagne) Despault, 89, a lifelong Chicopee resident died on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Wingate at W. Springfield. Janice was born in Chicopee on May 20, 1924 a daughter of the late Leon and Marie (Papineau) Gagne. She was employed as a data processor at Polep’s until her retirement in 1989. Janice is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Ernest Despault; her son, David Despault; her daughter, Darlene Clark and her husband Bill all of Chicopee. Janice also leaves a grandson John D. Pendegast of Springfield; her sister and best friend, Elaine Ray of Ashley, PA as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Lisa Pendergast and her step mother Dorothy (Turner) Gagne. The family wants to sincerely thank the staff of Wingate at W. Springfield.
