Janet (Windolowski) Duplisea, 61, beloved wife of 42 years, of Kevin Duplisea, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Pioneer Valley Rehab in South Hadley after a five-year battle with cancer.
She was an incredibly strong woman holding fast and firm to her faith knowing that she will be reunited with her son Ricky who predeceased her on March 1, 2024.
Janet was born on January 31, 1964, in Holyoke, MA, and was a daughter of Stanley and Bobbie Lee (Vaughn) Windolowski. She was educated in Holyoke public schools and attended Holyoke High School.
Janet was employed as a counselor for several years at a shelter in Holyoke for battered women.
She had many hobbies and interests that included fishing and traveling throughout the country visiting some of her favorite states that included, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, and Maine.
She leaves her loving husband, Kevin of Holyoke, daughters, Jillian Duplisea, Danielle Duplisea, and Rebecca McQueeney and her husband, John, siblings, Terri O’Connor, Joyce Demers and her husband, Ron, Jerry Windolowski, Roxanne Duplisea, and John Litchfield and his wife Tanya, eight cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb, Zoey, Charlotte, Sky, Lylah, Cash, and Sylas, and many extended family members and close friends.
Janet’s family would also want to recognize the tremendous nurses at the Holyoke VNA and Hospice for their professional and compassionate care.
A period of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, August 26, from 4-6PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. Her funeral service and burial will be private.
