CHICOPEE – James E. “Jim” Russell, 58, died on Thursday, June 26 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke on October 31, 1949, the son of the late Bernice (Besnia) and Virgil Russell. He was a graduate of Dean Vocational High School in Holyoke and was previously employed as a printer at the former Hano Business Forms of Springfield and currently employed at Jen-Coat of Westfield. He was the former owner of Economy Window Company of Chicopee. Jim loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter who also enjoyed his fish pond and gardening. He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara (Biagetti) Collins, his son, James V. Russell of Florida, his daughter, Jennifer Russell of Warren, stepson, Scott Collins and his wife Ann Marie of Chicopee, and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Sean Russell in 1995 and stepson Ronald Collins in 1988. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd at 7:30pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., in the Willimansett section of Chicopee. Calling hours from 5 - 8pm will precede the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House, 34 Chapin St., Springfield, MA, or Womanshelter Companeras, P.O.B. 1099, Holyoke, MA 01041.
