James R. Coleman

Westfield – James R. Coleman, 68, of Westfield, passed away March 6, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Pensacola, FL to John W. and Ingeborg (Rahn) Coleman and was a longtime area resident. James was the owner and operator of Coleman Appliance Service of Chicopee for many years.

James was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary (Axton) Coleman in 1999; his baby brother, Glen A. Coleman of Chicopee, MA; his brother-in-law, Fred Axton, of Williamstown, VT and by his sister-in-law, Marlene H. (McDonald) Coleman of Mountain Top, PA who passed in 2016.

He is survived by his son, Brian Coleman and his wife Kacie and their three children, Harper, Emma and Henry of Granby, CT; his siblings, Walter Coleman of Mountain Top, PA, Dale Coleman and his wife Renee of Hanover Township, PA, Frances Roberts of Youngsville, NC, Sally Bigos and her husband John of Chicopee, MA, Frank Coleman and his wife Linda of Bloomfield, CO; step mother, Jacqueline Coleman; sister-in-law, Jean Zucco and her husband James of Agawam as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service for James will be held on Monday May 1st, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Cemetery (St. Thomas Section), Fuller Rd., Chicopee, MA. There are no calling hours. Brunelle Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
