Jacques Joseph Senecal, 47-year resident of Chicopee and beloved husband, of 59 years of Ann L. (Beauchemin) Senecal, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 77.
Jacques was born on November 5, 1944, in Quebec City, Canada, a son of Roger E. and Rita E. (Grenon) Senecal.
At the age of ten, Jacques, emigrated from Canada to the United States and settled in Holyoke.
He attended Precious Blood elementary school and later graduated from Holyoke Trade.
Jacques was a longtime Glazier working at various companies throughout his career which included his own business, Senecal & Son and most recently R & R Windows.
He enjoyed playing hockey at a young age and was at one time an avid golfer.
Jacques loved to cook for family and friends and was a talented woodworker who created many elaborate bird houses.
He was a member of Holyoke Country Club and ran their concessions for a few years.
Jacques leaves behind his loving wife, Ann of Chicopee, and children, Kenneth P. Senecal and his wife, Mary Heller-Senecal of Old Saybrook, CT, Lorri A. Guilbert And her husband, Raymond, of East Longmeadow, and Kimberley M. Langlois and her husband, Christian, of Chicopee, siblings, Francine Senecal of Montreal, Andre՚ Senecal of NY, and John Senecal of Florida, grandchildren, Eric and Samantha Guilbert, Jack, Troy and Sawyer Senecal, and Braelynn Langlois, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Lise Senecal and grandson, Benjamin Langlois.
Funeral services for Jacques will be private. There are no calling hours.
