CHICOPEE- Irene A. Roberts, 85, passed away on May 18, 2015 in Willimansett East Nursing Center. Irene was born on November 24, 1929 in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Louis and Lula (Sampson) Brow. She grew up in Chicopee and attended Chicopee High School. Irene married Omer Roberts, and they spent many loving years together until his passing in 2004. She and her husband owned and operated the former Pete and Irene’s Restaurant on Front Street. Irene is predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Roberts; her son-in-law, David Corbeille; three brothers, Raymond, Ernest, and Alfred Brow; and two sisters, Lena Brow and Blanche Langlois. She is survived by her son, Todd Roberts and his wife Sue; two daughters, Penny Corbeille and Kimberly Johnson and her husband Edward; five grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary and Megan Roberts and Samuel and Jack Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, and Emily Roberts; and several nieces and nephews. Services for Irene will be Sunday, May 24, 2015 in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, beginning with visiting hours from 1-2PM, followed by a funeral home service at 2PM. Burial will be private at a later date in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital, Donations Dept. 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104.
