CHICOPEE- Homer A. Blair, Jr, 76, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Willimansett Center West. He was born in Springfield December 4, 1939, a son of the late Homer Sr and Emma (Letourneau) Blair and educated in Springfield and graduated from Technical High School in 1956. Homer worked in the electronics field for many years, most recently at Digital Corp where he worked his way up to an engineer. He attended STCC and later graduated from UMass with a B.S. and used that knowledge to help the company grow over the years it was a powerhouse in the electronics field. Homer retired in 1991 after completing over 28 years of dedicated service with the company. He loved working in his yard, camping in Heath and spending time with his family on various projects which �had to be finished�. He was a longtime parishioner of Holy Name Church. Homer was predeceased by his wife, Jennie (Szczepanek) Blair in December of 2002 and by a daughter, Jane Comtois in April of 2014. He also joins his brother and sister, Robert Blair and Linda Retzlaff who have entered into eternal rest. Homer leaves behind his legacy with his four children, James Blair and his fianc� Jackie Sylvester of Enfield; Edward Blair and his wife Karen of Chicopee; William Blair of Chicopee and Lori McIver of CT. He shared the last 13 years of life with his loving and devoted partner, Claire (Tanguay) Georges of Chicopee. Homer will forever be remembered by his 12 grandchildren and his 4 great grandchildren as well as by his nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Visiting hours will held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. A funeral home service will begin at 9AM on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 and be followed by the burial in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee. Please visit
