Helen A. Groszek 1923 � 2010 HOLYOKE � Helen A. �Cioc� (Wojcik) Groszek, 87, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Loomis House Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was born in Holyoke on May 18, 1923 to the late Ludwik and Salome (Cienciwa) Wojcik. Cioc attended schools in Chicopee and was a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee. She worked for a short time at the American Bosch where she met her husband, Herbie. She retired from A.G. Spaulding after thirty-eight years of service. She was a member of the Pulaski Club in Chicopee. Cioc loved to play cards and truly enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods Casino. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry �Herbie� Groszek in 1993 after forty-seven years of marriage. Cioc leaves to cherish her memory, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Wojcik; her seven nieces and nephews, Joseph Kokoszka and his wife Cheryl, Edward Kokoszka and his wife Denise, James Galica and his wife Linda, David Wojcik, Kathleen Reed and her husband Donald, John Wojcik and his wife Donna and Michael Wojcik and his wife Darlene; her twenty-five great nieces and nephews and her nine great-great nieces and nephews. Cioc was predeceased by her two brothers, John and Joseph Wojcik and her sister Stella Kokoszka. A funeral procession will form on Thursday, December 16 at 10:45 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. Chicopee. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow the Liturgy in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 15 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
