CHICOPEE- Hazel Janet Cieslak, 92, passed away on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. She is the beloved mother of the late, Richard Cieslak who died in 2012. She was born in Three Rivers on Dec. 1, 1921 a daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Domey) Riopel and educated in Chicopee schools. Hazel was primarily a homemaker but also helped manage the Colonial Café with her late husband, Edward Cieslak and later with her beloved son. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Hazel loved sharing stories and being around people, especially family and friends. She is survived by her caring daughter in law, Sandy Cieslak of Chicopee; her grandson, Ronald Franck of Chicopee and her extended family and several dear friends. Visiting hours will be held Friday morning January 31, 2014 from 9:15-10:30AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee and be followed by a Mass at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church.
