Grace G Formhals

Grace G. Formhals 1915 � 2010 CHICOPEE � Grace G. (Mosher) Formhals, 95, died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Wingate at South Hadley Nursing Home. She was born in Holyoke on February 25, 1915 to the late Dona and Addie (Lajoie) Mosher. Grace attended schools in Holyoke and graduated from the former Sacred Heart High School. In 1950, Grace moved to Chicopee where she made her home. She was a parishioner of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Chicopee and worked for the former Fisk Tire Company where she retired in 1975 after many years of service. Grace loved traveling and spent much of her spare time reading. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George L. Formhals in 1970. Grace leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Theodore Formhals of Northampton; her three sisters, Marjorie Mooney of Fl, Gladys Schmalenberg of Granby, MA and Adeline Nolan of Fl; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Beside her parents and her husband, Grace was also predeceased by her son, Mark S. Formhals in 1994; her three brothers, George, Walter and Edward and her two sisters, Ella and Ethel. A funeral procession will form on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 9:15 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. Chicopee, MA. There will be a Service of Remembrance at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the Service in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
