Germaine J. (Beauchesne) Dubois1924-2015NORTHAMPTON- Germaine J. (Beauchesne) Dubois, 90, passed away in the compassionate care of the staff at Linda Manor. She was born on March 1, 1924 in Quebec, Canada to the late William and Florida (Beaudette) Beauchesne. She married Robert Dubois and moved to Holyoke in January of 1946. Germaine worked in the mills in Holyoke for 40 years, retiring in 1986 from Pratt & Austin. She lived in Holyoke for 32 years before moving to Chicopee, where she lived for many years. In 2005, she moved to Sullivan Housing for the Elderly in Easthampton. She was especially proud to be an American Citizen and of donating almost a gallon of blood to the American Red Cross during her lifetime. Germaine is predeceased by her husband in 1949; and her two sisters, Pauline Beauchesne and Jeannette Paquin. She is survived by extended family and friends and will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 28 from 4-6PM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St in Chicopee. Services for Germaine will be on Thursday, January 29, 2015, beginning at 8AM in the funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St, Chicopee, and burial in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner�s Hospital, Donations Dept., 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104.
