George Arthur Buteau

George Arthur Buteau, of Agawam, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Holyoke Medical Center at the age of 75.
George was born in Holyoke, MA, a son of George and Helen (Cobb) Buteau, he was raised and educated in Holyoke, before residing in Agawam.
He was a former driver for the Adidas Company that assisted those who were mentally challenged and later drove for Meals on Wheels.
George was a member and past president of the Oregon Sportsman Club in Chicopee.
He had many hobbies and interests, that included fishing, Cribbage, playing cards, rooting for the Patriots, and watching Nascar.
George leaves behind his loving companion, Marcia Andersons of West Springfield, and her daughter, Nikita Perkins of Springfield, sister, Jacqueline M. Leske and her husband, Richard, of Westfield, brother, Norman Boivin, and his lifelong and best friend, Victor Rivas and his wife, Aida all of Agawam.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, July 29, for a period of visitation for George, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA. Burial will be private. A memorial cookout will follow immediately after the wake at the Oregon Sportsman Club in Chicopee.
