Gary L. Turcotte

Chicopee – Gary Lionel Turcotte, 62, of Chicopee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 30, 2022, as a result of a victim from a motor vehicle accident in Chicopee. Born in Holyoke to Lionel D. and Mary J. (Furtek) Turcotte, Gary was a 1978 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and a lifelong area resident.
Gary held various positions including the former National Blankbook, Avery Dennison Pkg, Stop & Shop in Chicopee and Waste Management in Chicopee. Gary was well known on his Apartment Block in Chicopee as the guy who would always lend a helping hand. In younger years, Gary was a talented candlepin bowler. He was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan, and he enjoyed playing the Mass State Lottery.
Besides his parents, Lionel and Mary, he was predeceased by his sisters, Paula Turcotte and Gloria Ilnicki, his lifelong partner, Trudy Haffley in March 2022 and by his favorite feline companion, Pooh bear.
Gary is survived by his sister, Gayle Gould and her husband Thomas of Chicopee; his partner's son, David Denoncourt and his wife Carrie of Chicopee; grandchildren, Autumn, Zachary, Michaela and Gavyn; nephews, James, Kevin, David and John; great nephew and nieces, Christopher, Jasmine, Alexa, Clara and Andrew and by many dear friends.
Calling hours for Gary will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee with a 6:00 pm service in the funeral home.
