Florian E. Gagnon

Florian "Flo" Emery Gagnon, 100, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at Pioneer Valley Health and Rehabilitation in South Hadley. Florian was born April 29, 1924, in Chicopee, MA to George and Anna Marie (Lemay) Gagnon. He attended Chicopee Schools and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Florian was the owner and operator of Tri-City Cleaners for many years. Flo enjoyed playing blackjack and would beat anyone he played in a game of Connect-4. He had a strong religious faith and loved Jesus. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Constance (Ruczinski) Gagnon in 2017; his daughter, Esther Montgomery; son, Robert Gagnon and by his siblings, Roland, Lillian and Hilda. Florian is survived by his son-in-law, Richard Montgomery, Sr.; grandchildren, Thomas and Steven; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nicholas, Josh, Michelle, Kyle and Ryan and by his nephew, David. A period of visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral home service. Burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Memorial donations may be made in Florian's memory to the charity of one's choice.
