Tribute
Westfield – Florence M. (Gorham) Beauchemin, 95, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2021 at Genesis of Westfield. Born on October 19, 1926 to William and Florence (O’Malley) Gorham, she was a longtime area resident. Florence was a graduate of Holyoke High School.
Throughout her career she was employed as a assembler for F.W. Sickles of Chicopee and a Binder for the former Magazine Press in Holyoke. She had a strong Catholic faith and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish in Chicopee for many years.
Florence was an avid bowler and cherished the many cruises and bus tours she enjoyed with her husband Maurice “Moe” Beauchemin who predeceased her in 2006. She was also predeceased by her brothers, William Gorham, Jr. of Holyoke, MA and Francis Gorham of Old Bridge, NJ, and her sister Eileen Quirk of Holyoke, MA.
She is survived by her loving son, Ronald Beauchemin and his wife Lillian of Port St. Lucie, FL and by her adored granddaughter, Laura Beauchemin of Clermont, FL, whom she loved spending time with.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Friday January 7th, 2022 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, followed by her Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
