Ethel Jordan

CHICOPEE-Ethel G. Jordan, 106, passed away on August 30, 2014 at Willimansett West Nursing Center. She was born on April 7, 1908 in Reading, England to the late John and Annie Knapp. Her family moved to Canada in 1911, then moved to Holyoke in 1935. Ethel worked her whole life at Walbaum’s Food market in the accounting office. Ethel is predeceased by her husband William Jordan in 1956. She is survived by her daughter, Frances Gendron; one grandson, Roy Gendron and his wife Ethalee. A funeral home service for Ethel will be Tuesday, September 9 at 10AM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot St, Holyoke.
