ESTELLE R. (LOISELLE) GAGNON
1936-2018
CHICOPEE- Estelle (Loiselle) Gagnon, 82, of Chicopee, passed away at Baystate Medical Center on Wednesday, October 24, 2018. She was born in Holyoke on June 9, 1936, a daughter of the late Ismael and Alice (St. Laurent) Loiselle. She graduated from the former Rosary High in 1955, and married Raymond Gagnon, who predeceased her in 2014. Estelle worked for many years as a sales manager for Coppercraft Guild, and most recently worked for the Chicopee Herald until her retirement. She was enthusiastic in her bible study and was devoted in her Christian walk. Estelle enjoyed camping, traveling, cruises, and reading. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Chicopee Senior Center Book Club. Estelle was predeceased by her daughter Debra Moore, her brothers Roger, Normand, and Raymond Loiselle, as well as her sisters Doris Coogan and Aline Taggart. She will be missed by her loving children, Jeffrey Gagnon of West Springfield; Dorothy Ingram of Ware; Donna Johnson and husband Carl of Phoenix, AZ; and Gail Gagnon of Chicopee. Estelle was the loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild who also survive her. Visiting hours will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 6-8PM at the Christian Life Center, 1590 Sumner Ave, Springfield, MA 01118. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:30AM at the Christian Life Center. Donations in Estelle’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
