Ellen Mckeever

Holyoke- Ellen (Morgan) McKeever, 88, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving, November 24, 2016. Ellen was born on September 25, 1928 to the late Leo Morgan and Bridget (Downes) Mulready. Ellen was proud of her Irish heritage and worked at Williams and Woods candy factory where she met her sweetheart James A. McKeever before coming to America. Ellen and James married in Canada and enjoyed 59 years of marriage after settling in Springfield, MA. She loved reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her sweetheart James A. McKeever of Holyoke, she will be missed by her two daughters, Ellen Arvanitis and her husband Kenneth of Chicopee, and Christine Dufresne of Fort Walton Beach, FL; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several loving family and friends in Ireland. She was predeceased by a son Joseph McKeever in 1989. A special thank you to the Loomis House Holyoke for the wonderful care she received. All Services are private.
