Elizabeth M. LaDouceur 1917 � 2009 HOLYOKE � Elizabeth M. (Jagodowski) LaDouceur, 91, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Holyoke Health Care Center. She was born in Holyoke on October 8, 1917 to the late Teofil and Mary (Misiaszek) Jagodowski. Betty attended schools in Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School. She worked for the former Kamket Corp in Holyoke and was a longtime parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke where she was a member of their Ladies of St. Anne Sodality. She was also a member of the Franco American Club in Holyoke and the South Hadley Council on Aging. Betty loved to play Bingo and fill her spare time with reading and jigsaw puzzles. Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband, Roger C. LaDouceur in 1994 after forty-seven years of marriage. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Denise P. Herrick and her husband David J. of South Hadley; her grandson, Michael J. Pollender and his wife Christine of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and extended family; her feline friends, Sugar, Tiger and Bandit and her canine friend Murphy. Beside her parents and her husband, Betty was also predeceased by her daughter Joanne LaDouceur; her two brothers, Casmir and Adam Jagodowski and her sister, Anne Schmitter. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at the Holyoke Health Care Facility for the wonderful care they gave to Betty and to the South Hadley Fire and Police Departments for their services. A funeral procession will form on Thursday, August 20 at 8:45 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made, in Elizabeth�s memory, to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA, 01701.
