CHICOPEE- Edward A. McAlpine, 67, passed away at Mercy Medical Center on Friday, September 20, 2019. He was born in Miami Beach, Florida on September 1, 1952 a son of the late Roderick and Eleanor (Moos) McAlpine. He was a graduate of Granby High School and later worked for 27 years at Texon USA in Russell, Mass. Ed enjoyed using his computer, traveling to New York, Michigan and Cape Cod, spending time with his grandchildren, and using his metal detector at the beaches to help friends find lost items. He was predeceased by two brothers David and William McAlpine and his dog Scruffy. Ed will be missed by his loving wife of 36 years, Diane (Patruski) McAlpine of Chicopee; his children, Brian McApline of Chicopee; Nathan McAlpine of Chicopee; Sandy Flynn of Grand Rapids, MI; Jimmy Flynn of Portland, Oregon; five grandchildren, his siblings, Cheryl Wright of Magnolia, Delaware; Roderick J. McAlpine of Sarasota, FL; Tayna McAlpine of Clearwater, FL, and Elizabeth McAlpine of Beaufort, South Carolina. Services for Ed are private. Please visit www.brunellefuneralhome.com for more details.
