Douglas Alan Mccollaum Sr

CHICOPEE- Douglas McCollaum, Sr, 57, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in South Carolina a son of the late Willie D. McCollaum, Sr and June (Bynan) McCollaum of Chicopee. He was an area mechanic working at Balise, Getty Fuel Station on Rt 202 So. Hadley and was a maintenance person at Williamansett Nursing Home. Doug loved listening to Elvis and was an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia. He enjoyed the quality time he spent with his family and most especially his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, who will keep him forever in her memory and heart, Doug is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years Jackie (Gomes) McCollaum; his three sons, Douglas Jr of Chicopee; Tim McCollaum of N. Adams; David McCollaum of Chicopee; three brothers, Willie McCollaum Jr; Robert McCollaum Sr. and Thomas McCollaum Sr. all of Chicopee; Papa will be missed by his 9 adored grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 with a funeral home service at 6:30PM. The burial will be private.
