Dorothy V. Mooney 1923 � 2010 Chicopee � Dorothy V. �Dot� (Madru) Mooney, 86, a lifelong Chicopee resident, died on Tuesday, August 24 at the Holyoke Medical Center. She was born on October 13, 1923, a daughter of the late Camille and Elsie (Krueger) Madru. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Chicopee High School. She is survived by her daughter Karen Abramowicz and her husband John of Chicopee. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Madru and his wife Alice, and Allen Madru and his wife Jackie, of Chicopee. She will be sadly missed by her granddaughter, Denise Page and her husband Martin of Easthampton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Madru. The funeral procession will form on Friday, August 27 at 9:15am at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St followed by a Service of Remembrance at 10am. Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot St. in Holyoke. Calling hours at the funeral home are on Thursday, August 26 from 4 � 6pm.
