1920-2018
CHICOPEE- Doris I. (Bracy) Borden, 98, of Chicopee, passed away at Willimansett Center West on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born on April 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Wilbur and Christine (MacNeil) Bracy. She married Edward Borden, who predeceased her. Doris worked for many years in bank transit at Middlesex Savings Bank. She was a professional piano player, bringing joy to listeners all over Boston in her younger years. Doris also had a way with animals. She cared for many wild birds and squirrels who found their way to her. Doris was predeceased by her children, Penelope Kelley and Allen Patterson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Candace George and her husband Robert of Chicopee; her grandchildren, Penelope Trigilio and her husband Christopher of Chicopee; Robin Kelley of FL; Kimberly Kelley of FL; and Gretchen Kelley of FL; her great-grandchildren, Emily Ayers and Robert Trigilio.
