Doreen Anne Lamontagne, beloved wife of 35 years of Donald Lamontagne, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 65 with her family at her side. Doreen was born on October 8, 1958, in Springfield, MA, daughter of John and Dorothy (Ratell) Malinowski. She was raised and educated in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee High School and later received her Associates Degree from Springfield Technical Community College. Doreen was employed as a Certified Medical Assistant, for over 32 years, at Valley Pulmonary & Medical Associates formerly in Springfield. She was a current parishioner of Mary Mother of Hope Church and former parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Church in Springfield. She was remembered for her love of cooking, reading, crocheting, knitting, and decorating the house for the many holidays. Doreen also loved the many family vacations at Myrtle Beach that spanned over the past 29 years. She leaves behind her husband, Donald and loving children, Jared W. Lamontagne both of Springfield, Justin A. Lamontagne of East Longmeadow, and Ashley P. Lamontagne, brother, Paul Malinowski both of Springfield. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Gene Paul Malinowski in 2018. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, December 28, for visitation for Doreen from 4 – 7 p.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. Doreen’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 29, with family and friends meeting directly at Mary Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd., Springfield, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., followed by committal prayers and burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee.
