Donna M. Barree

Donna Marie (Desrosiers) Barre, 67, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, who grew up on Simone Road, passed away on Friday, December1, at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Donna was born on February 15, 1956, a daughter of Norman and Irene (Dobosz) Desrosiers.
She was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and former Certified Nurse’s Assistant for several years in the local area.
Donna was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She leaves behind her loving children, Tina M. Piechota and Jeremy Piechota both of West Springfield, four grandchildren, Damien, Tina, Raymond, and Jayce, and two great grandchildren, Joziah and Damien, Jr., niece, Amber Passidakis and nephew, Brandon Passidakis both of Westfield.
In addition to her parents, she was recently predeceased by her husband, Roland G. Barree on January 26, 2023, sister, Gail Passidakis in 2013, and Derek Passidakis in 2021.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, December 8, for a period of visitation from 4 – 6:30 p.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, followed by a service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at a later date. www.brunellefuneralhome.com
