Donald Desroches

CHICOPEE-Donald E. Desroches, 78, passed away at Holyoke Soldiers Home on September 1, 2014. He was born on October 20, 1935 in Holyoke to the late Elzear and Viola Desroches. Donald graduated from high school and joined the United States Air Force, where he served for four years from 1955 to 1959. He then worked at Technicarbon Inc. and retired after 35 years. Donald was married to Alyce (Fran) Camire and they spent many loving years together until her passing in 1980. He was also predeceased by his sister, Doris Bessette. Donald is survived by his son, Ronald Desroches and Ronald�s husband Ashavan Doyon of Chicopee; one goddaughter Lori O�Brien of North Attleboro; two nieces Louise Chartier of Chicopee and Joan Lepkowski of Florida; and one nephew Allan Bessette of Washington. A funeral home service will be held for Donald on Saturday, September 6 at 10AM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman St, South Hadley. Calling hours will be Friday, September 5 from 4-7PM at the funeral home.
