South Hadley- Dolores E. (LaRoche) Provost, 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Wingate of Springfield in the company of her devoted daughter, Nicole “Nicki” Lounsbury. Dolores was born in Holyoke on December 15, 1920 a daughter of the late Oliver and Octavia (Guinard) LaRoche and was a 1938 graduate of South Hadley High School. Primarily a homemaker, Dolores was very active in the community as a member of the South Hadley Women’s Club, active with the Holyoke League of Arts and Crafts and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross during the war. She is survived by her husband, Camille Provost of South Hadley; her daughter, Nicki Lounsbury of Florence, SC; her brother, David LaRoche of South Hadley; two sisters, Erline Koehler of Dennis, MA and Lucille O’Connell of MA. Dolores leaves her three grandchildren, Camille, Elizabeth and Alexandra as well as her two great grandchildren, Devon and Maria. She was predeceased by a brother Norman LaRoche. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. The funeral ceremony will begin on Saturday at 8:45 AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer St., Holyoke, MA 01040.The burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley.
