Chicopee – Denise M. “Dennie” (Rzeszutek) Picard, 57, a lifelong Chicopee resident, died suddenly on Tuesday, September 28 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on February 24, 1953, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Helen S. (Wojcik) Rzeszutek. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School class of 1971 and a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church. She was previously employed at Spaulding Sports Worldwide. Denise will be remembered as an excellent cook, fantastic baker, floral designer, who also loved to decorate her home, and was extremely creative. She also operated her own business decorating wedding cakes. She is survived by her beloved husband of thirty six years, Peter Picard, her children; daughter, Lisa Connaughton and her husband James, sons; John Picard, and Michael Picard and his girlfriend Tina McLain, all of Chicopee. She also leaves her sister, Cynthia Nolette and her husband Richard of Springfield, and one niece and one nephew. It was her desire that all services are private.
