Deborah A. Romanski

Chicopee – Deborah A. Romanski, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday December 18, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Westfield to Albin and Helen (Taudal) Romanski, she was a graduate of Chicopee High School and received her Associates Degree from Springfield Technical Community College.
Deborah was employed for more than 30 years with the MSPCA, where she loved helping many animals as a veterinary technician. Deborah also devoted several years to helping those in need as a home health aide.
Deborah was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee. She was a lover of all animals, enjoyed watching sports, especially the Red Sox, and her travels to many historical landmarks over the years.
She is survived by her loving sister, Elaine M. Peterson and her husband Robert of Chicopee; her niece and nephews, Teresa Peterson of Philadelphia, Robert Peterson and his wife Amy of Canton, MA and John Peterson and his wife Jen of Myrtle Beach, SC and her godchild, Stella Matas and her husband Pedro of Chicopee. She also leaves many cousins, grandnephews, a grandniece and many lifelong friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sharon Romanski.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Saturday December 23, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Chicopee. Memorial donations may be made in Deborah’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
