Dawn R. (Fife) Mahoney, 56, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Dec. 29, 2019. She was born on Aug. 19, 1963, a daughter of the late Donald Fife and Joyce (Fournier) Fife of Holyoke. Dawn was educated in the Holyoke schools and lived most of her life in Holyoke and Chicopee. She worked several area jobs but always enjoyed working with children. She owned her own daycare and worked at Children’s House in Holyoke. Dawn enjoyed spending time at Mt. Tom, Misquamicut Beach, and camping, but most of all she loved the time spent with her three adored granddaughters. Dawn will be missed by her husband of 26 years, William “Bill” Mahoney; her sons, Christopher Mahoney and Joseph Mahoney; her granddaughters, Kaylee, Nevaeh and Skyler and by her cats, Oscar and Lulu. She will also be missed by her sisters, Joanne Cooper and her husband Bill and Diane Clukey; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her sister, Donna Fife. Calling hours will be held on Thurs., Jan. 9, 2020 from 4pm-7pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, with a Service at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
