David J. Destromp

David Joseph Destromp, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Baystate Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer at the age of sixty-six.
David was born on March 27, 1956, in Holyoke, MA, a son of Joseph and Olive (Beausoleil) Destromp, he was raised and educated in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School.
He was most recently a floral assistant at New Leaf Florist in Holyoke and was a former employee of the former Getty Gas Station in Granby and was an Aide at the Belchertown State School.
David belonged to the CHD Program in Ware. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends.
He leaves behind his sister and caretaker for the past 5 years, Danielle Siano and her husband, Carlo, and their children, Nicholas Siano and Sara Destromp all of Palmer, niece, Kathleen Rule and her husband, Tim, and their children, Brittanie Rule, Daniel Moytka, Christopher Moytka, and Holly Moytka all of Belchertown, Nephew, Robert Moytka, Jr. and his wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Becky, all of Palmer.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Daniel Destromp (died at birth), and sister, Doris Moytka, and brother-in-law, Robert Moytka.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, July 11, for a period from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, followed by a service at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Rose De Lima Cemetery in Chicopee.
