Darlene “Dee Dee” (Fonatine) Houle of Chicopee, MA passed away peacefully on September 11th, 2026 at the age of 71. Born April 22, 1955 in Holyoke, MA to her late parents Loretta (Beaudry) Fontaine and John Kopec.

Dee Dee was predeceased by her son Eugene (Geno) Houle and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Chettele Houle of South Carolina, her grandchildren Malyssin, Dylan, and Nicholas. Her great grandchildren Ronin and Avah Rose, her brother Dennis Fontaine, sister Carol Capistrant, her nieces Candy and Kimberly Capistrant, several great nieces and great nephews, & her great friend and partner in life, Oscar Houle Jr.

Visiting hours will be held at Brunelle Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17th, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be held on September 25, 2026 at 9:00 am at Precious Blood Cemetery on Willimansett Street (Route 33) in South Hadley, MA.
