Constance A. Bergeron

Constance A. Desmarais Bergeron 1935 � 2009 CHICOPEE � Constance A. �Connie� (Ouellette) Desmarais Bergeron, 74, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Willimansett Center West Nursing Home in Chicopee. She was born in Lisbon, Maine on March 24, 1935 to the late Ernest and Anna (Toth) Ouellette. Connie attended schools in Maine and worked for the former Acme Chain in Holyoke for many years. She was also a bus monitor and a crossing guard in the city of Chicopee for many years. Connie loved listening to country music, playing Skip-Bo and was an avid Red Sox fan. She absolutely loved visits with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and was also especially fond of her feline friends. Connie was predeceased by her first husband, Normand Desmarais, Sr. on September 15, 1973. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Normand Desmarais Jr. and his wife Donna of Warren, MA; her four daughters, Irene Witherall and her husband Chuck of FL, Donna Smith and her husband Nelson of Chicopee, Pamela Provost and her husband Roger Sr. of Springfield and Denise Desmarais of TN; her brother, Ernest Ouellette of ME; her four sisters, Dorothy McIntyre of ME, Martha Cyr of Chicopee, Madeline Jenkins of ME and Claudette Karkos of FL; her eighteen grandchildren and her nineteen great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and many extended family members. Connie was also predeceased by her daughter Gail Fay and her husband Daniel Fay; her brother and her four sisters. There will be a Service of Remembrance on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours will precede the Service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to Connie�s family and sent to P.O. Box 307, Ludlow, MA, 01056.
