CHRISTINE M. (LAFOND) BARNES 1975-2017 CHICOPEE- Christine M. (LaFond) Barnes, 42, of Chicopee, passed away unexpectedly on November 4, 2017. She was born on October 27, 1975 in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of the late Bernard and Kathleen (Griffin) LaFond. After graduating high school Christine became a medical assistant and worked for Valley Medical Group in Florence, MA. She loved her kids, owls, and taking trips to Cape Cod. She is survived by her 3 children: Jacob Knowles; Riley Barnes; Claire Barnes; her 2 brothers: Ken LaFond and wife Jackie; Bernie LaFond; her 3 sisters: Arleen Labelle; Valerie Labelle; Wendi (LaFond) Bombard and husband Jim; several nieces and nephews: Allysa; Amanda; Izabella; Julianna; Kelli Wood; Alexandra; Travis; Michael; Sam. She was predeceased by her niece Desire LaFond and her nephew David Labelle. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 2-5PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA with a funeral home service to follow at 5PM.
