January 31, 1923 — August 5, 2016

CHICOPEE- Chester J. Mazurowski, 93, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on January 31, 1923 a son of the late Anthony and Bertha (Perlowski) Mazurowski. He was educated in the Holyoke Schools and later attended Julius Hartt School of Music. Chester proudly served his country during WWII in the Army during the Invasion of Normandy at Utah Beach as a T/5 telephone switchboard operator. He worked for several years at the Springfield Armory as a maintenance estimator. Chester loved playing the piano; he played many area events and nightclubs including the Red Barn Restaurant in Chicopee, Mountain Park in Holyoke and many weddings. He taught piano to many people and passed down his love of music to his son Anthony. Chester and his brothers had a band and called themselves the Jack Ralston Band. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending family picnics at the Erving State Forest every weekend but most of all his family will miss the wonderful Christmas Eve music he loved playing. He will be missed by his four children, James Mazurowski and his companion Maria Cunningham of Hyde Park, New York; Ann White and her husband Larry of Chicopee; John E. Mazurowski and his wife Joyce of Chicopee and Anthony Mazurowski of Chicopee. He will forever be remembered by his 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and by his nieces, nephews, and friends. He now joins his wife of 65 years Mary (Bergeron) Mazurowski, his parents Anthony and Bertha (Perlowski) Mazurowski as well as his 9 brothers and sisters in peace and rest. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 9AM - 11AM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013, followed by a funeral home service at 11AM.
