Cecile Ann Hewinson

Cecile Ann (Ferris) Hewinson, beloved wife of Harold David Hewinson who predeceased her in 2015, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield with her son David by her side at the age of 88.
Cecile was born on March 11, 1936, in Springfield, MA, daughter of William and Nesab (Couri) Ferris, she was raised and educated in Springfield and was a graduate of Cathedral High School.
A longtime resident of Hampden and Holland, MA, she was a current resident of East Longmeadow since 2007, and former owner and operator of CC’s 3B’s, a custom Teddy Bear manufacturer.
Cecile attended many of the Teddy Bear rallies and sold Teddy Bears to several celebrities throughout the years.
She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s Maronite Church in Springfield.
Cecile leaves behind her beloved son, David L. Hewinson of East Longmeadow and grandchildren, Christopher, Meredith and Justin Hewinson.
Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Harold D. Hewinson Jr, brother, William Ferris and sister, Yvonne Milewski.
Family and friends will meet directly on Thursday, September 19, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA, for her committal service and burial. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in Cecile’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
