Chicopee – Bruno Michael Bak, 65, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023 at Holyoke Medical Center. Born in Springfield to Bruno J. and Shirley Mae (Greenia) Bak, he was a lifelong Chicopee resident.
Bruno was a 1976 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and a former communicant of St. Stanislaus Church in Chicopee. Bruno took great pride in his career as an auto body painter and was held in high regard at A-Truck Collision in Chicopee where he worked most of his life.
Bruno enjoyed listening to country music, especially at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA, where he and his wife Patricia spent many of their summer weekends at their trailer home. He and Patricia also were known for their love of cats, as they adopted many through the years.
Bruno is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Patricia (Beaudry) Bak of Chicopee; by his four siblings, Janice Maier and her husband Philip of Port St. Lucie, FL, Brenda Bak of Chicopee, MA, Jerry Ray and his wife Gale Sullivan of Westerly, RI and Tom Ray of Russell, MA and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by both of his parents and his sister, Kathy Ray.
Bruno was loved by all and will be remembered as a dedicated husband, brother, friend and employee.
All services will be private for the family at a later date.
