Bertha (Hudon) Boivin, 102, entered into peace on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was born in PDQ, Canada on March 21, 1913 a daughter of Henry and Delima (Tetreault) Hudon and was educated in Chicopee Schools. She was predeceased by her husband Omer Boivin, former owner of Village Grain in Willimansett, in 1997. Bertha was employed at Technifax for several years and was a faithful communicant of St. Rose de Lima Parish and was proud of her spirituality. She enjoyed playing piano, spending time in St. Petersburg, FL and driving the “green monsta”. She leaves behind two sons, Gerald Boivin and Ronald Boivin of Florida; a step daughter, Doris Perrault of Florida; her daughter in law, Annette Boivin of South Hadley; six grandchildren, David Boivin, Karen Lappalainen, Deborah Kos, Stephen Boivin; Roger Perrault and Paul Boivin; several great grandchildren and her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by a step son, Norman Boivin. Visiting hours will be held Monday morning February 1, 2016 from 8:30-9:45AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, Chicopee and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Rose de Lima Church. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Chicopee.
