CHICOPEE- Barbara Alice (Brooks) Deauseault, 82, died on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born in Chicopee on September 10, 1935 to the late Loretta (Venne) and Albert E. Brooks. She married her one time love, the late Lester A. Deauseault, Sr and together they had seven children: Lester Deauseault Jr, William Deauseault, Jeffery Deauseault, Linda Deauseault, Rose Sbrega and Kathy Jette. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley Therrien, June Poirier and Nancy Jasienowski. She was predeceased by a son, Teddy Deauseault and her brothers, David, Robert, Adelard and Albert Brooks. She leaves 16 adored grandchildren: Gregory, Luke and Joshua Jette, Jaime Mcclain, Johanna Putnam, Deanna Michaud, Amy Deauseault, Jessica Thomas, Chad and Amberlee Deauseault, Kevin Deauseault, Thomas, Shawn, Brittany and Andrew Sbrega and Courtany Guyott. She also leaves 17 great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Barbara worked her first job as a tailor in a local factory. She was a loving mother and homemaker who viewed her children as her world. Having a house full of happy children including nieces, nephews and friends was her everyday joy of life. Her motto was “The More the Merrier”. The love for a busy full house followed her throughout many years of happiness, taking on foster children and room roommates as she would never turn people away. Her love and kindness touched the hearts of many. Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday, September 7, 2017 from 5-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 with a funeral home service at 6:30PM.
