Arthur J. Ainville Sr

CHICOPEE- Arthur J. Drainville Sr., 86, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center and now joins his beloved son Arthur J. Drainville Jr., who predeceased him in 2006.. He was born on February 22, 1927 a son of the late Henry and Theresa (Senecal) Drainville. He proudly served overseas in the United States Army during WWII. Art retired from the Uniroyal Co. after 25 years of dedication. Art is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia (Barut) Drainville of Chicopee; his daughter Arlene Ferreira of CT, and two adored granddaughters Jillian Drainville and Stephanie Ferreira. He also leaves a sister in law Lillian Drainville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers and sister, Bill, Edward, and Beatrice Bobst. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 9-10:30AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, MA 01013 and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony Street, Chicopee. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arthur’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice
