Arlene Brown

October 25, 1935 — April 5, 2016

Chicopee- Arlene (Charbonneau) Brown, 80, was called home to Jesus after a battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family on April 5, 2016. She now joins her parents Frank and Malvina (Poirier) Charbonneau and her siblings in heaven. Arlene was born on October 25, 1935 in Winchendon, MA. She was a long time Chicopee resident and devoted catholic who faithfully attended St. Anthony of Padua Church. Arlene enjoyed doing arts and crafts, reading, doing puzzles, cooking, tag sales with her daughter, weekly family gatherings, spending time with her dog Chubby, and especially loved walking on the beach. Arlene was an incredible, inspirational, loving, outgoing, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by all who loved her. Arlene leaves her husband of 62 years Melvin Brown, her children; Sharon Crochiere, Joyce Cote and her husband Ric, David Brown and his wife Gail, and six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family will gather and receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 8:45AM to 10:15AM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St, Chicopee. The burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
