Annette Lorraine Schmidt

CHICOPEE- Annette (Labrecque) Schmidt, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at Birch Manor. She was born March 23, 1925 a daughter of the late Alcide and Eva (Beaudoin) Labrecque. She was educated in Chicopee and had been a lifelong resident and faithful communicant of Nativity Church. Primarily a homemaker, Annette enjoyed playing Bingo, had a passion for dancing and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Jacob “Jake” F. Schmidt in 1993; a son, Brad Schmidt and a great grandson, Jordan Kasperowski. She is survived by a son, Brent Schmidt and his wife Dianne; three daughters, Dale King and her husband Frederick; Dawn Robitaille and her husband Gilbert all of Chicopee; Darla Rivest and her fiancé Thomas Garvin of Agawam; eight grandchildren, Deserie Scheinost, Todd Kasperowski, Trista Kasperowski, Dean Robitaille, Shelly Devlin, Anthony Rivest, Jillian Rivest, Jacob Schmidt; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:15-10:15AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Anne Parish, 30 College St., Chicopee. The Rite of Committal and inurnment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, So. Hadley.
