LAS VEGAS, NV – Anita M. (Parisien) Fournier, 90, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Las Vegas. She was born in South Hadley on December 10, 1917, to the late Armand and Emma (Savard) Parisien. Anita was the granddaughter of cultured French – Canadian immigrants. Anita married during war time. She lived and worked as a registered nurse in New Britain, CT, where she made lifelong friends in and out of the nursing profession. She was an accomplished cook, an astute card player, and a music lover who frequently attended symphony concerts in Las Vegas. Anita was preceded in death by her husband Arthur and her brothers, Edgar and Roger. She is survived by her son Arthur H. Fournier of Las Vegas; her several nieces and nephews including, Donald Parisien. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 29, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. A service of remembrance will be conducted during the wake at 7:30 P.M. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Anita’s memory, to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
